Women: Wednesday: Word

Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30am

WWW is mainly for women who have babies, children at school or teenagers.  Our main aim is to provide a place each Wednesday where women can meet to look at a passage of the Bible together, to encourage one another and to pray.  We believe the Bible is the Word of God, and that we need to hear and take on board what God has to say, discussing what it means for us today.

We meet in the Church Centre, starting with coffee at 9:30am.  We each belong to a small group; on some weeks we divide into these groups and on other weeks we all meet together.

We run groups for babies and pre-school children alongside the groups for mums.

Those less sure of their faith are welcome to attend, listen and join in if they wish.  We regularly start new groups for those who are new to Bible Study or are not yet Christians. Do come along or invite your friends to come.

For those women who prefer, there is an Evening Women’s Group which meets on alternate Wednesday evenings.

If anyone arrives on a Wednesday morning needing one-to-one support and prayer, do let us know – we have women available for you to talk and pray with.

"…these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name". John 20:31

Summer Term 2008

For the first half of term, we continue to look at John chapters 1-10. Our aim is to learn more about what it means to say that Jesus is God's Son, to understand more of the life we have in his name, and to grasp more of what it means to believe in him.

On 21 May, we’ll start a series of studies on prayer.  Many of us find consistent prayer a struggle.  We’ll see what God has to say about prayer: what it is, why we should do it and how we should do it.
